
Pittsburgh-based Highmark Health, a nonprofit health and wellness organization,
recently appointed Mark Sevco as Allegheny Health Network (AHN) president, effective at the end of March.
AHN is Highmark Health’s integrated healthcare delivery system. Sevco will have a team of 23,000 AHN employees and will be tasked with supporting blended payer-provider strategies and advancing the company’s Living Health model.

Sevco is the chief operating officer of Sutter Health in Northern California where he is responsible for leading operations for the 24-hospital network. Prior to moving to California, he worked for Pittsburgh-based UPMC as executive vice president, UPMC Hospitals president and UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh president.
Allegheny Health Network serves the greater Western Pennsylvania region through a network of hospitals, physician organizations, home and community-based health services, ambulatory surgery centers, a research institute, a group purchasing organization, and Health + Wellness Pavilions.
