West Chester-based A. Duie Pyle, a asset and non-asset-based supply chain solutions provider, recently opened a new facility in Erie.

The facility includes 16 less than truckload (LTL) service center doors located on 3.1 acres. It will service the Erie and Jamestown, N.Y. areas.

“At A. Duie Pyle, we constantly seek growth opportunities not only to meet, but exceed customer demands and enhance service efficiency,” John Luciani, Pyle chief operating officer of LTL Solutions, said. “Establishing a presence in Erie will allow us to better serve our customers’ evolving needs, drive economic growth and create new job opportunities for the local community.”

The facility’s opening created 13 new jobs, two leaders, four freight handlers and seven drivers. By the end of the year, the company expects the location will have more than 25 employees.

This is Pyle’s second expansion this year and its 32nd facility. Expansion is part of the company’s support strategy to grow in its home state. Pyle also is reinforcing its market position in the region by increasing customer access to its full suite of supply chain services.

Pyle offers a full range of integrated transportation and distribution services including LTL, dedicated, warehousing & distribution and brokerage services.
