The new Philly Stat 360 website will give Philadelphia residents and businesses a new way to see how well the city is performing, officials said recently.

Launched on Dec. 17, the website is designed to increase the city’s transparency and accountability, Mayor Cherelle L. Parker said. The website delivers on her promise to use data to improve city government in a way Philadelphia residents can see, touch and feel.

“Philly Stat 360 is not only a tool for measuring progress but also for identifying areas where we need to invest more resources,” Parker said. “I believe in a city government that our citizens can see, touch and feel with visible actions that help people at the neighborhood level, and this is a key link in creating that.”

The website tracks everything from the number of trees planted to the city’s current homicide rate, officials said. The city operations are broken down into five categories – Safer, Cleaner, Greener, Economic Opportunity, and Core Services. From there, residents, businesses and stakeholders can see how the city is working based on 30 different key metrics. Clicking on any metric will provide website visitors with a detailed view and show how data is captured, calculated and measured. In addition, some metrics will include historical data to show the city’s progress over time, officials said.

“Mayor Parker has always emphasized that a government should not only be responsive to the needs of its people, but it should also actively involve them in understanding how the government works,” Kristin Bray, Chief Counsel to Mayor Parker and the Director of Philly Stat 360, said. “Mayor Parker’s innovative vision is reshaping Philadelphia’s future and actively driving lasting, positive change for all Philadelphians. Philly Stat 360 is a manifestation of that vision—an accessible and interactive tool that empowers residents, enhances transparency, and makes government operations easier to understand.”
