Kitron receives $5M U.S. Army order

The U.S. Army and allied forces recently placed an order with Kitron, a Scandinavian electronics manufacturing services company, with an annual value of more than $5 million for custom electronics.

The order has the option to extend the program for two additional years.

Production will take place at Kitron’s U.S. facility in Windber with deliveries expected starting in mid-2025.

“We are very pleased to announce this continued collaboration with our long-term partner supporting this important program,” Gary Tarallo, Kitron U.S. operations managing director, said. “This announcement confirms Kitron’s previous communication about increased demand in the defense and aerospace market sector. Adding this program to an already impressive portfolio of defense programs is great recognition for Kitron U.S.”

Kitron operates in the United States, the Czech Republic, China, Denmark, Germany, India, Lithuania, Malaysia, Norway, Poland, and Sweden. It employs approximately 2,500 worldwide and serves the defense/aerospace, connectivity, electrification, industry, and medical devices
sectors.

In 2023, the company had revenue totaling $804 million.
