U.S. Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-PA) visited Pittsburgh-based robotics engineering firm SKA Robotics’ Harmar facility earlier this month.
Deluzio toured the facility and met with the engineering teams responsible for developing advanced robotics solutions. The congressman has an interest in the Pittsburgh region’s growing robotics cluster. During discussions, he emphasized the importance of high-tech companies in driving economic growth and technological advancement.
“We are building a bright future in Western Pennsylvania by investing in cutting-edge industries like robotics that can create good jobs and keep our region on the global technology map,” Deluzio said. “The Pittsburgh region is home to some of the most exciting advancements in robotics and AI (artificial intelligence), and companies like SKA Robotics are at the forefront of that growth. I’m grateful for the chance to learn more about these local innovators.”
Government initiatives have promoted fostering technological progress, economic resilience, and job creation. Deluzio’s visit represents efforts to align initiatives with the region’s growing robotics industry.
SKA Robotics has been actively working to strengthen engagement with government officials with the goal of ensuring the robotics sector is a cornerstone of Pittsburgh’s economic development.
SKA Robotics’ products are used in multiple industries including agriculture, commercial construction and mining, industrial inspection and maintenance, and power generation.
