Milford-based Econo-Pak, a contract food packaging and manufacturing company, recently announced it expanded its facility by 125,000-square-feet. The older section of the facility totals 200,000-square-feet.
The expansion will allow the company to increase its capacity, ensure faster turnaround times meet the growing demand for high-volume contract food packaging services, and support new projects. The new section includes upgraded production lines, storage capacity, and food packaging automation.
“This expansion reflects our dedication to providing top-tier services to our clients,” Econo-Pak CEO PJ Wiebel said. “By increasing our facility’s capacity, we’re not only ready to take on exciting new projects but also to continue delivering exceptional results for our longstanding partners in the food industry. It’s a significant step forward for our company, our team, and our clients.”
In 2021, the global contract packaging market was valued at approximately $72.59 billion. The market is forecasted to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 11.35 percent through 2030, according to Straits Research.
Founded in 1981, Econo-Pak is family-owned and operated. Wiebel represents the third generation to be CEO. The company offers turnkey high-volume dry food co-packing, re-packing, and co-manufacturing services to medium- and large-sized food businesses.
