Malvern-based PQ, a sodium silicates, specialty silicas, and derivative products producer, recently completed the expansion of its Pasuruan, Indonesia, silica production facility.
The project added a micronizer that will increase production capabilities and will allow the company to meet a growing demand in the Asian market for high-quality silicas. PQ also will have the ability to introduce new products to its paints and coatings, personal care, and pharmaceutical market customers.
“The investment in our Pasuruan facility strengthens our position in the Asian market and underscores our commitment to advanced technologies and best-in-class infrastructure to support our customers’ growth plans,” PQ CEO Al Beninati said. “This expansion allows PQ to deliver superior products with enhanced properties enabling our customers to further deliver on their competitive advantages.
“The completion of this project is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our employees, who consistently go above and beyond to ensure the success of our company.”
