Tyoga Container, a corrugated box manufacturer, has invested $30 million to expand its facility in Tioga, Pa.
The company redesigned its facility to included 126,000-square-feet of factory space and 18,000-square-feet of office space. The facility now totals nearly 264,000 square feet. It features five new corrugated converting lines, a pre-production space, a design lab, corporate offices, in-plant training facilities, and an ink kitchen.
The project took two years and is the largest expansion in company’s history.
The state’s 2023-24 budget awarded the company $1.5 million for the project.
“Through the support of local and state officials including (state) Sen. Gene Yaw (R-Bradford), state Rep. Clint Owlett (R-Tioga) and former Tioga County Commissioner Erick Coolidge, we redesigned our entire facility for optimal throughput while installing a total of five new corrugated converting lines,” Chris Morral, Tyoga Container executive vice president, said. “With the completion of this project we now have nearly 180 employees and are in the upper echelon of sheet plants throughout the country in terms of overall capacity and capabilities.”
Yaw (R-23) recently visited the facility to discuss the project.
“The team from Tyoga Container has a proven track record in the manufacturing industry,” Yaw said. “This multi-generational company brings good paying jobs to Tioga County and creates substantial economic benefits for our region.”
