PPG recently signed a strategic agreement with Georgia-based Shaw Industries Group, a flooring and other surface solutions provider, to offer the PPG FLOORING line of resinous flooring products to Shaw’s customers.

Resinous flooring is good for institutional, industrial and workplace environments because of durability, versatility and aesthetic appeal. PPG’s flooring products, created for use with concrete floors, are chemical and abrasion resistant.

The products will be available to the commercial property market under Shaw’s Patcraft brand.

“At PPG, we continually strive to solve customer challenges by collaborating with partners to find the best path forward,” Jenn Solcz, PPG vice president of Protective and Marine Coatings U.S. and Canada, said. “Shaw’s position as a leading flooring provider with expansive customer reach gives PPG even greater access to the market. This partnership represents a significant milestone for both companies.”

The partnership will expand the market reach of PPG’s products.

Shaw Industries Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. It employs 18,000 people worldwide and has more than $6 billion in annual sales. Its brands include Anderson, Shaw Floors, Shawgrass, Southwest Greens, and Watershed Geo.

Pittsburgh-based PPG serves customers in the construction, consumer products, industrial and transportation markets, and aftermarkets.
