Ohio-based Sage Sustainable Electronics, a company that refurbishes and recycles used electronics, recently announced it will open a repurposing center in Montgomeryville.

This is the company’s fourth repurposing center nationwide and will serve customers in New England, the New York tri-state area, and the eastern seaboard to Virginia and Washington, D.C.

“Two-thirds of electronics recycled for raw materials are still perfectly functional,” Sage CEO Robert Houghton said. “When Sage extends the useful life of technology, we reduce environmental impact twenty-fold, and also return more money to our customers. Our Mission is to reuse more and recycle less.”

The Montgomeryville facility will accept all types of corporate technology including mobile phones, data center hardware, and endpoint devices. The company also will accept technology from those working at home through a parcel program created in partnership with UPS Store locations nationwide.

Sage repair and refurbishment services prepare used technology for donation, resale, redeployment, and lease return. It tries to minimize recycling, but is a certified e-Steward, meaning it manages electronics recycling with a highest ethical standard.

The company also is a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher.

The company’s reverse logistics services removes old technology from corporate locations in a easy, timely, and secure manner.
