The JVS Philadelphia Fund for Women (JVS Fund) recently awarded four women-owned businesses $50,000 each.

The grants support women-led businesses in the Philadelphia region that provide professional services or products. Funding helps awardees implement effective growth strategies.

“These businesses represent the ingenuity and resilience of women entrepreneurs,” Judith von Seldeneck, JVS Fund founder said. “Our fund is dedicated to providing not just capital, but also the necessary resources and mentorship to help these businesses thrive.”

Recipients are Amaranth Florals/7 Blooms, a florist and event company; Amor Sui, a personal protective equipment clothing company combining style and safety; ModKaf, a strategic marketing and communications consultancy; and Stimulus, an artificial intelligence-powered relationship intelligence platform that enhances business interactions and connections.

A committee of local women leaders and business executives reviewed the applications. Applicants were required to have at least two years of business experience, demonstrated sales, and have path to profitability.

Founded in 2021, the JVS Philadelphia Fund for Women has distributed, in collaboration with Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, more than $1.2 million dollars to 19 women-owned businesses.

Ben Franklin is an early-stage investor in tech, life sciences, manufacturing, and industries. In the Philadelphia region, it has supported more than 2,000 companies.
