Nancy A. Walker, Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry (L&I) secretary, visited PA CareerLink Northwest Philadelphia on Tuesday for a job fair.
“With our partners at Philadelphia Works, the (Josh) Shapiro Administration is committed to connecting Pennsylvanians with meaningful career opportunities,” Walker said. “Whether you’re re-entering the workforce, an immigrant seeking new beginnings, or exploring a new career path, our goal is to provide you with the resources and connections needed to thrive. I encourage all Pennsylvanians to take advantage of these upcoming events at PA CareerLink locations throughout the Commonwealth and explore the many pathways to a successful and fulfilling career.”
PA CareerLink allows job seekers to upload resumes, search for job postings and register for career and training services. Free services include adult education classes and workshops, job search and training assistance, mock interviews, referrals to partners, and resume workshops. It also allows businesses to directly connect with job seekers.
Philadelphia Works operate PA CareerLink Northwest Philadelphia. Tuesday’s job fair featured more than 30 employers as well as representatives of community service organizations that provide information on opportunities for youth and apprenticeships.
PA CareerLink locations statewide will be host job fairs and other public events over the next few weeks.
