Canada-based Falkbuilt, a digital component construction company, recently celebrated two years in the Philadelphia market.
Falkbuilt Philadelphia was founded in 2022 and is independently owned and operated by Peggy Kelly. Kelly has worked to make Falkbuilt Philadelphia one of the company’s top 10 branches globally out of 126.
The Commercial Real Estate Women of Greater Philadelphia recognized Kelly with the 2023 Entrepreneurship Award for outstanding leadership and contributions to the industry.
Falkbuilt specializes in innovative and sustainable prefabricated walls that are eco-friendly and significantly reduce waste and carbon emissions. Products include doors, millwork, office pods, and solid and glass walls, and many products are found in corporate offices.
Since opening, Falkbuilt Philadelphia has completed more than 40 projects. It has a presence in multiple markets including corporate and retail, and recently expanded into the healthcare sector when it supplied a Pennsylvania eye clinic.
Prefabricated walls require 75 percent less labor, produce 70 percent less carbon emissions compared to other prefabricated solutions, and cut construction timelines by 30 percent to 50 percent.
Nearly half of all landfill waste comes from construction, so prefabricated walls cut down on the environmental footprint of construction projects.
The technology uses Falkbuilt’s Echo, a next-generation cloud-based platform.
