Pittsburgh-based Wesco International, a business-to-business distribution, logistics services and supply chain solutions provider, recently completed its purchase of Michigan-based entroCIM, an innovator in data center and building intelligence software, for $30 million.
Additional terms of the transaction were not disclosed, although there is an opportunity for an additional earnout based on performance.

entroCIM designed the Central Intelligence Manager, an HTML5 browser-based application to connect devices and remote monitoring systems in commercial facilities. It provides insights through one digital interface that help businesses reduce costs and improve operations.
Wesco employs approximately 20,000 people, and operates nearly 800 branches, warehouses and sales offices in more than 50 countries. It has more than $22 billion in annual sales.
Wesco offers product and services worldwide in three categories: electrical and electronic solutions, communications and security solutions, and utility and broadband solutions.
Customers include commercial and industrial businesses, contractors, government agencies, educational institutions, telecommunications providers, and utilities.
