Telford-based Solesis, a company specializing in biomaterials for the life sciences industry, recently appointed John Witkowski as its next president and CEO, effective immediately.
“John brings nearly 30 years of experience across the medical device and biopharmaceutical industries,” George Aitken-Davies, Solesis board of directors chairman, said. “He is well positioned to lead Solesis in its next phase of growth and brings a strong track record of building high-quality businesses, both organically and through M&A (mergers and acquisitions).”
Witkowski will be responsible for developing the company’s strategic priorities and executing business operations that support customers and drive long-term, sustainable growth.
Prior to working for Solesis, Witkowski served as DSM Biomedical, the global biomaterials division of dsm-firmenich, president; and held several executive leadership roles including CMS of Bemis Manufacturing Co. president; Nypro Healthcare general manager; and Knee Creations vice president of operations and quality.
Solesis develops and manufactures critical components and technologies for the medical device and biopharmaceutical industries including the custom design, development, and manufacturing of textile- and polymer-based healthcare solutions. The company operates through its subsidiaries Charter Medical, Polyzen, SanaVita Medical and Secant Group.
The company employs more than 450 people at five production facilities in Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
