Premier Tech, a Canadian-based agriculture technology company, recently held a grand opening ceremony for its Williamsport facility.
The facility will house Premier Tech Water and Environment, the first such manufacturing plant in the United States. The goal is to increase Premier Tech Water and Environment’s capabilities and build closer, stronger relationships with the company’s American-based clients.
The facility will serve clients in Pennsylvania, and help the company enhanced its presence in New Jersey and Iowa.
“The new site in Williamsport paves the way for the future growth of Premier Tech Water and Environment in Pennsylvania and fully aligns with our commitment to reinforce our presence in the United States with more local team members,” Luc Langlois, Premier Tech Water and Environment president, said.
“This investment reinforces our 25-plus-year presence in the United States,” Donald E Hockenbury, Premier Tech Water and Environment operations director, said. “It will allow us to better serve our clients and create more value for them as well as bringing our products to new markets.”
Premier Tech has had a presence in the United States since 1923. It employs approximately 370 people at five manufacturing facilities. Last year, the company opened a headquarters for Premier Tech Systems and Automation in Montgomery, Ala., and expanded its Salt Lake City facility.
