East Penn launches environmental campaign

East Penn Manufacturing, a manufacturer of high-quality lead batteries and accessories, recently launched Power2Recycle, an environmental campaign designed to highlight the importance of proper recycling, and the partnership between the lead-battery industry and the public.

Under the campaign, people use highly recyclable products and return them for proper recycling, and companies continue to manufacture products that are recyclable, sustainable, and help reduce emissions.

The campaign emphasizes how everyone can help the industry support integrated recycling, carbon reduction technologies and resource conservation.

“We each play an important role in building a sustainable future,” East Penn said on its website. “As the lead-battery industry and consumers continue to work together, an act as simple as recycling a battery strengthens an already well-established circular economy and helps to safely power the next generation.”

East Penn also launched a Power2Recycle webpage to provide information on the role everyone plays in the circular economy of lead batteries.

Underwriters Laboratories validated East Penn’s line of transportation batteries. The batteries have an allocation of 98 percent recycled material, and earned the highest UL Recycled Content Validation for batteries in the world.

East Penn’s products serve the automotive, commercial, marine, motive power, UPS, and telecommunication markets.
