Pittsburgh-based CNX Resources Corp. recently named Timothy S. Bedard as executive vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary.

Bedard replaces Alexander J. Reyes, the former executive vice president, general counsel and secretary, who is leaving the company after more than 16 years this month to pursue other career opportunities.

“We are incredibly excited for Tim to join our already deep and talented executive management team at CNX,” Nick DeIuliis, CNX president and CEO, said. “We continue to attract world-class talent across our executive management ranks, which I believe is a direct reflection of our best-in-class asset base and opportunity-set that affords our leaders the opportunity to create meaningful shareholder value. Tim’s extensive expertise in IP (intellectual property) and technology and significant depth of experience partnering with management teams will be a critical element in accelerating the growth of our new tech business opportunities and the continued execution of our sustainable business model.”

Bedard comes to CNX from Visa’s Value Added Services business where he was head of legal. He also worked for Johnson & Johnson’s medical device operating companies.

Bedard began his legal career as an IP litigator at Kirkpatrick & Lockhart, now K&L Gates LLP. Prior to law school he served as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Bedard holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, a Juris Doctor from the Duquesne University School of Law, and an MBA from Yale.

CNX Resources is a low carbon intensive natural gas development, production, midstream, and technology company centered in Appalachia.
