The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is holding a job fair in Philadelphia on Oct. 12 to fill positions at the Delaware Valley Veterans’ Home (DVVH).

The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2701 Southampton Road. Applicants are asked to bring two forms of identification.

“Health care workers are finding great opportunities to advance their careers at the DVVH,” Peter Ojeda, DVVH commandant, said. “If you are looking for a team environment, patriotic culture and a chance to hone your skills, then we have a job waiting for you.”

The DVVH is hiring certified nursing assistants, custodial workers, food service workers, licensed practical nurses, nurse aide trainees, registered nurses, and a registered nurse supervisor.

The DVVH is one of six veterans homes DMVA operates.

Additional weekly hiring events will be held throughout the year. Onsite interviews will be held and job offers may be made at the event.

Interested applicants are asked to apply online at the state’s employment website prior to attending the job fair. Job seekers also can apply for other DMVA positions statewide.

State employees receive competitive pay, time off, retirement, and other benefits.
