Piatt Companies, a real estate developer and management company, recently announced the company’s next chief financial officer and executive vice president of investments.
“This marks a new chapter for the growth of our company and our culture,” Piatt Companies CEO Lucas Piatt said. “We have firm roots in the Western Pennsylvania community and we’re excited to bring in new leaders to help mentor and guide our team for the next phases of investment as we continue to expand our diversified company.”
Art Borowski was named chief financial officer. He formerly served as Emerald Hospitality Associates CFO and vice president of finance and business development. Before joining the company, he worked for Marriott, Hilton and Starwood hotels. He has a degree in finance.
Richard K. Miller was named executive vice president of investments.
Miller previously worked for Piatt Companies from 1997-2007 when he held several leadership roles including executive vice president, director of finance and chief financial officer. Miller started his own firm, SUMMIT Development, in 2007. In this role, Miller designed and built nearly 1,000 hotel rooms in eight Hilton and Marriott properties as the sole individual developer.
Miller has a degree in accounting.
