Philadelphia-based Health Partners Plans has changed its corporate marketing name to Jefferson Health Plans.

The new name, which went into effect on July 1, reflects the company’s owner Jefferson Health that purchased the company in November 2021.

“This is an exciting and significant step forward for our Health Plans to incorporate our commitment to bringing quality care to the communities we serve, addressing health disparities, inequities, and improving health outcomes,” Dr. Joseph G. Cacchione, Jefferson CEO, said. “The establishment of the new brand as Jefferson Health Plans reinforces that our care for patients is central to our mission to improve lives.”

Rebranding will take places in phases through 2025. The 2024 Medicare plans will be the first products to carry the new name.

The company’s Health Partners and KidzPartners business marketing names will not change.

Jefferson Health Plans will offer Medicaid and CHIP products in Pennsylvania, and Medicare Advantage products in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

“For over 35 years, we have been providing high quality health coverage for the residents of Pennsylvania, and we recently expanded into New Jersey,” Denise Napier, Jefferson Health Plans president and CEO, said. “Becoming part of the larger Jefferson family is an important milestone for the health plan, and we remain committed to continuing to offer benefits to improve the health and wellness of members at all stages of life.”
