Harrisburg chamber president to serve on ACCE board

The Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE), an association of chamber professionals from chambers of commerce throughout the United States, recently elected Ryan Unger, Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC president and CEO, to its board of directors.

“We are pleased to welcome Ryan Unger to the ACCE Board of Directors,” Sheree Anne Kelly, ACCE president and CEO, said. “At a time when the role of chambers of commerce has never been more critical, the future is limitless for ACCE and the chamber industry. Ryan’s expertise and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to optimize our opportunities and expand the pivotal role chambers play in shaping and strengthening our regions globally.”

Unger has been Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC president and CEO since 2021.

He also is on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Committee of 100, a group of 100 chamber executives advising the U.S. Chamber’s board of directors, enhancing lobbying and coalition work, recommending programming, and strengthening outreach to the business and chamber communities.

ACCE identifies and analyzes trends affecting communities, shares best practices, and develops benchmarking studies.

The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC serves Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry counties. It provides business, community/economic development and advocacy services.
