Unisys release ESG report

Blue Bell-based Unisys recently released its 2022 Sustainability Report, detailing the progress toward its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.

“From the diversity of our team ranging from associates to the board of directors, as well as delivering on our long-standing environmental commitments, I am proud of our progress — yet recognize that there is more work to do,” said Peter Altabef, Unisys chairman and CEO.

Report highlights include the company setting the goal of achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) for Scope 1 and Scope 2 sources by 2030. The company has already accomplished its goal to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 75 percent by 2026.

Carbon dioxide equivalents from car travel for business have fallen by 57 percent since 2019 and
from air travel for business by 19 percent.

Between 2019 to 2022, energy consumption has decreased by 38 percent globally.

During the same period, the company’s real estate global footprint fell by 16 percent.

In 2022, the company collected nearly 200,000 pounds of end-of-life electronics to recycle.

The number of Unisys’ U.S. employees who belong to underrepresented ethnic groups increased to 31 percent in 2022.

In 2022, women held 49 percent of U.S. workforce leadership positions.
