Philadelphia-based Harsco Corporation announced Monday it would be changing its name to Enviri Corporation effective immediately.
The company said the new name and brand reflects its transformation over the past four years into an environmental solutions company providing companies with options to manage, recycle and reuse waste and byproduct materials.
“As we considered where we are today, how our business has evolved and our commitment to the environment, it is important to have a name and brand identity that align with this image,” Enviri Corporation Chairman and CEO Nick Grasberger said. “We are energized as we enter into this new era and look forward to continuing to operate with the same commitment to excellence that has been part of the Company’s legacy for more than 170 years, while providing value for our investors, customers, partners and the communities in which we operate.”
The company said its more than 150 sites around the world are pursuing innovations focused on decarbonization, energy efficiency and enhanced resource recovery technologies as part of environmental management services, with a goal of achieving zero waste for customers.
That commitment, the company said, is reflected in its logo, which includes a symbol signifying waste transforming into recycled and re-used materials.
The company will begin trading as Enviri under on the New York Stock Exchange as NVRI on June 19, 2023.
