Atlanta-based ABB Installation Products, an electrification and automation company, recently opened a $4 million, 350,000-square-foot Northeast Distribution Center in Easton.

The facility will help the company meet the increased demand for electrical solutions and will reduce delivery times for customers and distributor partners across the Northeast region by as much as half. It stocks $15 million in inventory and more than 5,000 products used in electrical systems.

“We continue to build upon our legacy of pioneering innovative electrification products that contractors and installers rely on every day to complete critical commercial, residential and utility projects. Now we are further regionalizing our global supply chain to provide greater speed to our partners and customers of needed electrical solutions,” Matthias Heilmann, ABB Installation Products Division president, said.

The facility is part of nationwide distribution network that includes distribution centers in Arizona and Mississippi.

The company’s products are used in a wide range of construction, industrial, infrastructure, transportation and utility applications. Its largest market is the United States, and it has invested more than $14 billion in the United States since 2010.

Founded more than 130 years ago, the company sells more than 200,000 products under 38 brand names and employs approximately 105,000 people.
