M&T Bank is seeking up to 50 entrepreneurs to participate in its second annual Capital Region Multicultural Small Business Lab.
The Lab provides multicultural business owners with the guidance and skills needed to build strong businesses, spur economic growth in the Harrisburg area, and build generational wealth.
The seven-week program will focus on accessing capital, branding and networking, business planning, establishing credit, and marketing.
Anyone interested in participating must reside in the Greater Harrisburg area, have been in business no more than three years with an annual business revenue of $350,000 or less, and must be Asian American, Black/African American, or Hispanic/Latinx.
The online application must be completed by April 18. The program will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Entrepreneurs who participated in the 2022 lab and did not receive a prize award are eligible to enroll this year.
The Lab will be held from May 10 through June 21, with weekly courses held at Harrisburg University. It will conclude with a pitch competition with grants totaling $12,000: $6,000 for first place, $4,000 for second place, and $2,000 for third place.
The Lab is held in partnership with the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology.
