Valence Surface Technologies recently announced its Pennsylvania operating location, Valence Blairsville, which has obtained National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap) approval.

Valence Blairsville provides surface treatment to defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and L3 Harris. Nadcap is an industry-managed approach to conformity assessment of special processes.

The company’s strategy is to increase regional capability and provide redundant capacity and supply chain risk mitigation at its North American locations. Approval supports this goal.

“The unwavering commitment exhibited by the Blairsville team has been integral in securing our Nadcap accreditation,” Simone Murphy-Fickenworth, Valence vice president of quality and compliance, said. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our on-site team for their proactive approach, exemplary leadership, and relentless pursuit of growth as we continue to expand our capability!”

Valence Blairsville also holds multiple approvals for paint, dry film coatings, conversion coating, and type II & III anodize.

The facility provides a wide variety of metal finishing services, including anodizing, electroplating, and industrial painting. It specializes in BR-127 bond primer for inhibiting corrosion in demanding environments.
