The Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center (NEPIRC) recently hired a project coordinator for its Dream Team Manufacturing Ambassador Program.
Jenelle Osborne will be responsible for meeting with NEPIRC’s economic development and workforce partners to spread awareness of the program, performing outreach to schools within NEPIRC’s service area, overseeing their orientation and training, coordinating social media and marketing efforts, coordinating Dream Team speaking engagements and, recruiting Dream Team Ambassadors from the local manufacturing community.
Osborne has experience in human resources as well as sales and marketing. She also has served as fundraiser coordinator for several successful local fundraisers.
“The Dream Team initiative is an innovative and engaging way to introduce students, faculty, school administrators, and parents to younger manufacturing professionals and create a more updated and accurate understanding of our manufacturing sector, along with the purposeful, rewarding, and high-tech jobs our regional manufacturers offer,” Eric Joseph Esoda, NEPIRC president, said. “We’re delighted to have Jenelle on board to contribute to this important initiative, which will have significant, long-term impacts on our local students and manufacturing community.”
NEPIRC places younger manufacturing professionals in high schools to give career opportunity presentations within an 11-county area. The first-year goal is for members to provide a total of at least 20 in-school presentations.
