Pittsburgh-based Wesco International, a provider of business-to-business distribution, logistics services, and supply chain solutions, recently completed its purchase of Rahi Systems Holdings, a provider of global hyperscale data center solutions, for $217 million.

The purchase price is approximately seven and a half times Rahi’s projected trailing 12-month adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization as of Sept. 30.

Rahi helps customers manage and simplify technology. The purchase allows Wesco to strengthen its data center solution offerings.

“With over 900 employees in 25 countries and trailing 12-month sales of approximately $400 million, Rahi provides complementary global coverage and enhances our full suite of data center solutions for contractors, integrators, and end-user customers,” Bill Geary, Wesco Communications and Security Solutions executive vice president and general manager, said. “This significant investment fuels growth for our technology focused customers, who can now leverage the combined global footprint, infrastructure, and IT expertise of Wesco.”

Rahi will become part of Wesco’s Communication and Security Solutions strategic business unit.

Wesco announced plans to purchase Rahi in September.

Wesco operates approximately 800 branches, warehouses, and sales offices in more than 50 countries. It employs approximately 18,000 people, offers nearly 1.5 million products, and has more than $18 billion in annual sales.
