The Philadelphia Division of Aviation recently named Atif Saeed as its new CEO, effective Dec. 1.
“I’m honored to lead the City of Philadelphia’s Division of Aviation and the many teams and staff that support the critical operations at Philadelphia International Airport and Northeast Philadelphia Airport,” Atif Saeed said. “I’m excited for the great opportunities ahead to grow the already substantial economic impact and jobs the airports create in the region, and their importance as a welcoming gateway for millions to experience greater Philadelphia’s historic and vibrant communities.”
Saeed currently serves as the Metropolitan Airports Commission’s chief financial officer. The commission operates Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and six general aviation airports. In this role, Saeed manages multiple departments.
He previously served as the commission’s vice president of finance and revenue development, and originally was hired to oversee the airport’s landside operations. He was promoted to CFO in 2019.
Before Minneapolis, Saeed served as director for transportation at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Saeed is an Accredited Airport Executive from the American Association of Airport Executives, and an International Airport Professional from Airport Council International.
He completed an undergraduate degree in business management, a Masters degree in business administration and an advanced management program.
