Chambersburg-based Martin’s Famous Potato Rolls and Bread announced Thursday it would expand into the Cleveland, Ohio, retail market.

The company said it would make its fresh-baked products available to retail and club stores in the Cleveland area, including its sandwich potato rolls, hot dog buns, slider buns, dinner rolls, hoagie rolls, and old-fashioned butter bread.

“We are thrilled to be kicking things off in the Cleveland market! Our team is focused on providing the best product with the best possible service for our stores and customers,” said Tom Sullivan, regional sales manager for Martin’s. “We are looking forward to serving additional retail chains, foodservice venues, and restaurants in the near future.”

Martin’s is known for its products’ freshness, taste, and texture, which is a result of its high-quality ingredients such as high protein wheat flour, nonfat milk, potatoes, pure cane sugar, yeast, and real butter, the company said. The company’s sources provide non-GMO ingredients, the company said, and none of their products contain artificial colors or sweeteners.

Martin’s has been a staple in Pennsylvania since 1955, when Lloyd and Lois Martin started the company in their garage. Since initially offering its products at local farmers’ markets, the company has grown to cover most of the East Coast and various major cities like Chicago, Nashville, New Orleans, and Houston. Martin’s expanded last year into the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

The company is headquartered in Chambersburg, Pa., and has a second bakery in Valdosta, Ga.
