Samson Wealth Management Group merges with Maryland company

Fort Washington-based Samson Wealth Management Group, an independent wealth and investment management firm, recently completed its merger with Maryland-based XML Financial Group, an independent wealth and investment management firm.

The merger took effect on July 1 and will help XML expand its footprint into Pennsylvania and broaden both firms’ technology and operational support systems.

Samson Wealth Management Group offers financial planning services to high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and families in the Philadelphia metro area and nationwide. XML Financial Group offers wealth and investment management services and a client wealth management app to high-net-worth individuals, businesses and families nationwide. It has offices in Maryland, Virginia, and Colorado.

“We are thrilled to join forces with XML and provide our clients with expanded wealth and investment management services to help them navigate complex financial situations and achieve their dreams,” Mark Samson, Samson Wealth Management Group founder, said. “Our team is excited to get started and forge new opportunities for our clients as part of the XML family.”

Samson will join XML’s leadership team.

XML Securities, XML’s affiliated broker-dealer, and XML have approximately $3 billion in client assets. The addition of Samson adds approximately $644 million in additional assets.

Both firms are Focus Financial Partners wealth advisors.
