The merger took effect on July 1 and will help XML expand its footprint into Pennsylvania and broaden both firms’ technology and operational support systems.

XML Financial Group offers wealth and investment management services and a client wealth management app to high-net-worth individuals, businesses and families nationwide. It has offices in Maryland, Virginia, and Colorado.

“We are thrilled to join forces with XML and provide our clients with expanded wealth and investment management services to help them navigate complex financial situations and achieve their dreams,” Mark Samson, Samson Wealth Management Group founder, said. “Our team is excited to get started and forge new opportunities for our clients as part of the XML family.”

Samson will join XML’s leadership team.

XML Securities, XML’s affiliated broker-dealer, and XML have approximately $3 billion in client assets. The addition of Samson adds approximately $644 million in additional assets.
