Pittsburgh-based Evoqua Water Technologies, a company providing water and wastewater treatment solutions, recently held the grand opening for its Warrington, United Kingdom, facility.
The company has relocated Evoqua’s Wigan, UK, operations to the new facility that will serve as its global center of excellence for developing leading-edge ultraviolet (UV) disinfection solutions. It features manufacturing and research areas, a training space, and meeting places to encourage employee collaboration.
The 30,000-square-foot facility will support the company’s future growth plans. It will manufacture Evoqua’s ATG UV product line, which offers environmentally friendly, chemical-free UV disinfection and water treatment systems.
The facility also will distribute Wallace & Tiernan products and serve as the project build site for the United Kingdom market. The brand includes products for gas chlorination, disinfection, and chemical dosing.
“We are extremely pleased to officially open our new global center of excellence for UV disinfection solutions,” Evoqua CEO Ron Keating said. “The investment in this facility underscores our commitment to growth and innovation of our disinfection treatment solutions portfolio, strengthening our ability to support our customers globally.”
Evoqua Executive Vice President and Applied Product Technologies Segment President Hervé Fages attended the ribbon cutting, as did Steffen Lange, vice president and general manager of Evoqua’s Disinfection Division.
