Ambler-based Bradford White Corp., a manufacturer of water heaters, boilers, and storage tanks, recently launched Industry Forward, a charitable giving initiative that will increase public awareness of the importance and value of the plumbing and HVAC industries and career opportunities within the industries.

The initiative will also fund industry workforce development training programs, advocate for policies that benefit trade skills training, and grant funding to organizations that offer programs that align with and support the initiative’s mission.

“Industry Forward is a critical investment in the awareness, education, and training our industry needs to address the chronic workforce gap we’re facing,” Carl Pinto, Jr., Bradford White’s senior director of marketing communications, said. “The traditional skilled trades in the plumbing and HVAC industry offer a range of career opportunities, but many people overlook these paths because of the mistaken perception that manufacturing and residential and commercial service jobs aren’t viable long-term options.”

In addition, the initiative will establish partnerships that support individuals and families in underserved and underrepresented communities to improve access to job skill training and career opportunities.

Bradford White Corp. has manufacturing facilities in Michigan and New Hampshire and distribution and training centers in Ontario. It manufactures products used in residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
