Mammoth Freighters, a company that provides air cargo operators and asset owners options for freighters, recently selected Berwyn-based Triumph Group’s Actuation Products & Services operating company as its Hydraulic Power Pack Units on Mammoth Freighters’ 777 Freighter Conversion Program supplier.

“Triumph is well-positioned to support Mammoth Freighters’ mission of developing a line of energy-efficient and productive long range freight conversion aircrafts,” Scott Ledbetter, Triumph Actuation Products & Services president, said. “The demand for passenger-to-freighter modifications is at record levels, and Triumph’s experience in producing the hydraulic power packs used in this type of conversion was a key factor in Mammoth selecting us as their hydraulic partner.”

Mammoth launched its program in September to convert passenger Boeing 777s into freighters. Customers can bring their assets for conversion or can purchase or lease a previously converted aircraft. The company purchased the airplanes from Delta Air Lines.

Triumph will perform work at its Clemmons, N.C., facility.
