Global real estate service firm purchases Pittsburgh company

Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate services firm, recently acquired Pittsburgh-based Grant Street Associates after an 18-year alliance.

“We are excited to have Grant Street Associates join Cushman & Wakefield, as we share similar values and cultures of teamwork, integrity, respect, and extraordinary client service,” Roberta Liss, Cushman & Wakefield president of the East Region, said. “Grant Street Associates is one of the most recognized and respected real estate firms in the Greater Pittsburgh region, and we’re looking forward to continue working with the team to grow our presence in Pennsylvania.”

Founded in 1993, Grant Street Associates provides commercial real estate services and has won the Pittsburgh Business Times’ Best Places to Work award 10 times. The firm represents more than 5 million square feet of office, flex, and retail space in downtown and suburban Pittsburgh.

Cushman & Wakefield’s managing principal of the greater Philadelphia and Baltimore regions, Mike McCurdy, will oversee the Pittsburgh operations.

Cushman & Wakefield, among the world’s largest real estate services firms, employs approximately 50,000 people in more than 400 offices in roughly 60 countries. Revenue totaled $9.4 billion in 2021. Services include facilities and project management, leasing, property, capital markets, and valuation.
