Evoqua Water Technologies, a mission-critical water and wastewater treatment solutions company, recently closed on its purchase of a renal business operated by Mar Cor Purification and Cantel Medical.

The purchase helps Evoqua expand its reach into the healthcare vertical market.

Minnesota-based Mar Cor, a subsidiary of STERIS, is a manufacturer and servicer of medical water, commercial and industrial solutions. It operates 27 service and regeneration facilities in the United States and Canada and designs, builds, and services water treatment systems for an installed base of approximately 5,500 sites.

Evoqua expects the purchase will generate annualized revenue of approximately $180 million and adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization of approximately $27 million.

“We are thrilled to officially welcome Mar Cor to the Evoqua family,” Evoqua CEO Ron Keating said. “With the close of this transaction, Evoqua is well-positioned to expand our service footprint in North America to provide proven water solutions for the healthcare industry.”

Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Evoqua Water Technologies is more than 100 years old. It serves more than 38,000 customers and 200,000 installations worldwide and operates in more than 150 locations across ten countries.

The company offers a broad portfolio of products, services, and expertise to support industrial, municipal, and recreational customers.
