Survey ranks PPL Electric as a trust utility

PPL Electric Utilities is one of the country’s most trusted utility brands for residential customers, according to a recent study by human behavior and analytics firm Escalent.

Survey participates were chosen to ensure a demographically balanced sample of the 140 largest U.S. utility companies’ customers based on age, gender, income, race, and ethnicity. A total of 76,656 residential utility customers were surveyed.

According to Escalent, customers’ trust in utilities increased over the past year. Utilities have become trusted brands by starting conversations with customers on how the companies can support them throughout challenging times and about environmental efforts and product and service options.

“Having the trust of our customers is truly important to us,” Steph Raymond, PPL Electric Utilities president, said. “Despite one of the most unique and challenging years in 2020, our team found ways to better communicate the support programs we have available for customers and the work we do to deliver electricity safely, reliably, and affordably.”

PPL Electric Utilities ranked among the best utility companies for customer service and reliability. It serves more than 1.4 million Pennsylvanian homes and businesses.

In 2020, the company emphasized programs and services aimed at financially assisting customers.
