Wolfgang Confectioners, one of the oldest family-owned chocolate companies in the United States, plans to invest more than $3.5 million to expand its 137,000-square-foot facility in Loganville, York County.
The expansion includes the addition of a production line that will support the facility’s ability to operate around the clock and the redevelopment of an underutilized production line.
The project is expected to retain 375 jobs and create 95 full-time positions over the next three years.

The Department of Community and Economic Development submitted a funding proposal for a $50,000 workforce development grant to help the company train workers and a $95,000 Pennsylvania First grant.
Wolfgang Confectioners was founded in York in 1921 as the D. E. Wolfgang Candy Company. It has a second location in downtown York that includes an incubator facility. The company is a co-manufacturer in the commercialization and scale of confectionary products for large consumer good companies and specialty entrepreneurs.
