Ammeraal Beltech to expand US Modular manufacturing operations in Reading

Ammeraal Beltech announced Wednesday plans to expand U.S. Modular manufacturing operations for its uni brand in Reading.

The announcement follows the announcement last month of the company’s plan for a new multi-phased greenfield conveyor belt production plant in Buford, Ga.

“This announcement further supports our growth strategy and our ambition to be closer to the markets we serve offering reduced supply chain lead times and outstanding service to our OEM and distributor partners,” said Steve Facetti, vice president of Marketing, Ammega.

Part of the Ammega Group, the company said the multi-phased investment into the Reading plant is already underway. Startup on the greenfield project is anticipated in the fall of 2022.

“Market demand is requiring increased manufacturing capacity to support our customer base in North and South America,” said Alex Ludvigsen, Business Unit Director – Modular, at Ammeraal Beltech.

The company’s uni products are used in many different industries, including food, automotive and corrugated.

“This is another strategic move allowing Ammeraal Beltech to deliver a best-in-class customer experience serving all sales channels. With increased capacity, we will be able to build a more efficient supply chain structure offering a faster response, better cost balance, and shorter lead times,” Niels van den Boogert, vice president and general manager of Ammeraal Beltech US operations, said.
