Cardinal Systems, a steel wall panel, thermomoulded and extruded plastic products, and vinyl pool liners fabricator and manufacturer, plans to expand its existing operation and production capacity.
Facilities will expand in Schuylkill and York counties.
The company will invest nearly $9 million. The project is expected to retain more than 300 jobs and create nearly 60 new positions.
In Schuylkill County, the company will expand its headquarters to add additional warehouse space and construct a new office. This is expected to allow the company to increase capacity on its production floor, repurpose its existing warehouse facility, streamline shipping operations, and reduce truck traffic on Route 61.
The new offices will include open work centers and training space.
In addition, the company will upgrade the on-site storm sewer system.
In York County, the company will install IT data lines, HVAC systems, and office space in an existing area of an adjacent building. This will allow the company to expand its vinyl liner production facility and increase storage capacity.
“As a family-owned business, we believe strongly in investing in our people and our operation as a way to provide a solid foundation for our success as an American manufacturer,” Rachel Bradley, Cardinal Systems’ owner, said.
