Ohio company purchases Allegheny Pipe & Supply

Winsupply, an Ohio-based supplier of residential and commercial construction and industrial supplies and equipment, recently purchased Allegheny Pipe & Supply’s assets for an undisclosed amount.

Coraopolis-based Allegheny Pipe & Supply is a distributor of valves, fittings, carbon and stainless steel pipe, and related products with threading, grooving, and onsite cutting capabilities. It services customers in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.

Winsupply will be majority owner while Jim Morse, Allegheny Pipe & Supply president, and Tom Morse, vice president, plan to re-invest in the company. The Morses will retain their titles, and the business will remain in Pennsylvania doing business as Winsupply Coraopolis PA Co.

“The Winsupply business model is perfect for owners like Jim and Tom Morse who wanted a succession plan that allowed them to stay in the business,” Monte Salsman, Winsupply Acquisitions Group president, said. “Jim and Tom are great people, and we are thrilled to be partners with them. They are true entrepreneurs who are deeply respected by their customers, vendors, and community. We are excited about growing with them and expanding the Winsupply opportunity in the Pittsburgh area.”

Under Winsupply’s business model, it allows its companies to have the autonomy to decide how to best serve customers.
