US LBM opens Yeadon location

US LBM, a distributor of specialty building materials, recently opened a roofing and siding location in Yeadon, the company’s 10th since 2018.

US LBM’s Universal Supply division, which operates the location, has 21 other sites in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Yeadon will provide high-quality roofing and siding products to professional builders, contractors, and remodelers. It also will provide on-site delivery and assistance with product selection and budgeting. The location is located near major highways and is intended for customers in Philadelphia, Chester and Delaware counties, and Southern New Jersey.

“Roofing and siding continues to be a strong specialty category for US LBM, and this new location further expands our reach and product offering in Southeastern Pennsylvania and the Delaware Valley,” Jeff Umosella, US LBM chief development officer and universal supply president, said.

A similar location opened in Kimberton last year, and one is planned to open later this month in New Castle, Del. The supply division will operate both locations.

US LBM offers roofing, siding, millwork, cabinetry, wallboard, windows, doors, and engineered components. The Buffalo Grove, Ill.-based company was founded in 2009. Last year, revenue totaled $3.4 billion.

In November, Bain Capital Private Equity acquired the company, and it withdrew its IPO.
