PaperWorks, a folding carton solutions company headquartered in Bala Cynwyd, recently announced it plans to increase production at its facility in Greensboro, N.C.
The company will invest in state-of-the-art equipment and new technology platforms. These technologies include a printing press with seven colors and two coaters that will allow for the production of high-end cartons, and a folding gluing lines machine with end-to-end automation through a full batch turner, easy feed, and auto packer.
“We welcome the opportunity to improve on our current assets,” Nirav Shah, PaperWorks vice president of Strategic Accounts & New Technology Innovation, said. “We recognize this is the right time to invest in new technology to accommodate growing demand, delight our customers, and surpass their needs and expectations.”
The equipment will be installed this fall and operational by the end of the year. Over the past three years, the company has invested in upgrading its paperboard mills and folding carton converting plants.
PaperWorks serves a variety of industries, including beverage, food, medical devices, nutraceuticals, personal care, and pharmaceuticals. It is a full-service provider of recycled paperboard and specialized folding cartons for packaging applications and also provides extended color gamut printing capability, which creates shelf-differentiating graphics.
