Harsco Corp., a Camp Hill-based provider of environmental solutions and technologies, recently released its Environmental, Social & Governance Report.

The report highlights the company’s corporate sustainability accomplishments in fiscal year 2019 and the first half of 2020.

“The world is changing rapidly, and it is vital to acknowledge how Harsco has continued to provide essential services to all our customers while ensuring the safety of our own employees during the COVID-19 crisis,” Nick Grasberger, Harsco chairman and CEO, said. “Now more than ever, I am confident in our decision to focus on the urgent societal needs of providing environmental solutions for industrial and specialty waste streams. This sustainability report demonstrates the value we are bringing to our customers, communities, employees and shareholders.”

Highlights include acquiring Stericycle’s Environmental Solutions business; reducing diesel fuel consumption and emissions by 10 percent; and recycling or repurposing 18.6 million tons of material that resulted in a more than 5 million metric-ton reduction in carbon emissions.

In addition to these highlights, the report also listed goals. Goals include reducing energy and carbon intensity by 15 percent by 2025; deriving more than 90 percent of annual revenue from environmental products and services; and achieving a total recordable incident rate of less than 1.25 in 2020.
