Aramark, a global leader in food, facilities management, and uniforms, recently released its plans for creating a safe dining experience during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The company has established Aramark EverSafe, a multidimensional operational safety platform launched with Jefferson Health.
The plan is tailored for the company’s various businesses and market segments. It incorporates practices, procedures, and protocols in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, the National Restaurant Association, and other leading health organizations’ recommendations.
The company also consulted with client partners and incorporated government requirements into the plan.
Aramark will revise the plan based on regulations changes and consumer behaviors.
“While cafes, dining halls, cafeterias, and concessions stands may look a little different, I am confident that they will feel and be safe for our employees and everyone we serve,” Aramark CEO John Zillmer said. “Our teams have been working incredibly hard, partnering with health and food safety experts, to ensure our locations meet stringent standards for dining in today’s new environment.”
The plan includes procedures addressing five topics: a culture of safety and well-being for employees and customers; appropriate social distancing practices using visual cues, physical alterations, and technology; cleaning and disinfecting procedures; expanded service offerings; and available and emerging technologies.
