PPL announced Monday that it will host a Supplier Diversity Conference and Networking Summit event to help expand the diversity of its suppliers.
The conference is open to women-, minority-, veteran-, and LGBT-owned businesses, as well as disadvantaged and HUBZone businesses. The event will include lunch and opportunities to network and discuss potential opportunities to partner with PPL. Attendees will have the chance to meet PPL leaders, supply chain staff members, prime suppliers, and category managers.
“PPL has evolved in many ways during its first 100 years, but one thing that hasn’t changed is its desire to expand the diversity of those that help keep the company running,” PPL said in a press release.
The event is the fourth of its kind hosted by PPL. It is open to the first 150 diverse suppliers who register by March 6. The conference is scheduled for 8 a.m. on March 20 at the PPL Conference Center in Allentown.
