Patton Logistics Group, a provider of integrated supply chain solutions based in Milton, Pa., announced Monday that it will establish a logistics and warehousing operation in Pulaski County, Virginia.
“We couldn’t be more excited about our new facility in Pulaski County’s New River Valley Commerce Park,” Steve Patton, president of Patton Logistics Group, said. “It’s a good example of how strategically integrating our strengths can help us serve more customers.”
The expansion constitutes a $12 million investment. The new Virginia operation will include the company’s 12th warehouse, a 250,000-square-foot structure.
Patton also recently acquired a 200,000-square-foot warehouse in Muncy, Pa., which, in combination with the new Virginia warehouse, brings the company’s total warehouse space to more than 2 million square feet.
The company expects to break ground on the Virginia warehouse in March. Patton said that the new warehouse will enable the company to offer daily service to major population centers in Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, and Tennessee. The Virginia operation will result in the creation of more than 30 new jobs.
“The new Virginia warehouse is a big deal because it allows us to grow smartly and strategically, but this certainly isn’t the last you’ll hear about new facilities,” Patton said. “Everyone at this company is always looking ahead, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store in the future.”
Patton Logistics Group is made up of three independent entities, Watsontown Trucking Company, Patton Logistics, LLC, and Patton Warehousing, LLC. The company currently has approximately 560 employees and serves clients throughout the United States and Canada.
