The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) recently approved seven low-interest loans for businesses in six counties.
The funds will be used for business expansion and the purchase of equipment. These activities will support the creation of new full-time jobs.
“The funding awarded today will help businesses in six Pennsylvania counties — businesses that serve as a snapshot of the growth we are seeing across the commonwealth — better serve their customers and communities,” Gov. Tom Wolf said. “My administration is committed to supporting businesses of all sizes as they grow and evolve, and this funding will help these companies launch new services, save money, and operate more efficiently.”
The largest loan was approved for a business in Schuylkill County.
Columbia Street, through the Schuylkill Economic Development Corporation, was approved for a $778,292, 15-year loan. The company will purchase and renovate a 14,128-square-foot facility that will be used as an extension of the company’s national headquarters.
The next two largest loans were awarded to businesses in Northumberland County.
Custom Container Solutions was approved for a $475,000, 10-year loan. The company will use the funds to purchase machinery and equipment that will add additional product lines.
SJR-JLC and Reis Holdings received a $164,000, 15-year loan to purchase the Professional Driver’s Academy located in Milton Borough.
